2002-2014
Initial Phase
- 2003: BDR Pharma was started by Mr. Dharmesh Shah as merchant export business
- 2010: Started API manufacturing business through acquisition of an entity in Vadodara
- 2010-2014: Started Domestic CDMO business. Developed and launched 40+ drugs, marketed by leading generic players in India
2015-2021
Foundation Phase
- 2015-17: Established OSD facility in Padra and expanded the Vadodara API facility
- 2019: Established a new and a large R&D centre in Halol, serves as an intellectual hub for BDR

FY21: Forayed into Europe (reg. markets) and expanded its domestic formulations business
One of the earliest players to identify and develop Covid drugs by leveraging its R&D skills
- FY22: Setup up a new general OSD and injectables facility in Halol
2022-2026
Growth Phase

FY22-FY26: Commissioning of Onco injectables facility in Halol
Setting up of a new Biosimilars block
International expansion through manufacturing setup in Algeria and Russia
Expansion of existing manufacturing (API and Oral OSD) and R&D centre
Launch of 40+ new complex molecules going off-patent
- This will enable BDR to shift its manufacturing in-house (leading to significant margin expansion) and foray into regulated markets
