Ethical Marketing Division
Ethical Marketing division is one of the verticals of BDR Pharmaceuticals and caters to the domestic business for marketing of finished formulations. There are four sub-divisions: Critical Care, Dermatology, Institutes & Oncology. Critical care division caters to the anti-fungal and antibacterial range of products. The team is about 100 plus and does business with all the big and well established hospitals spread across India.
During the pandemic in both the waves, Critical care division did extremely well by managing to supply mainline Covid products like Inj Remdesivir, Inj Liposomal Amphotericin B, Tab Favipiravir, Tab Molnupiravir and also the ancillary products like Inj Enoxaparin, Inj Teicoplanin, Inj Caspofungin which were all widely used in the pandemic as part of the overall Covid treatment regime. Some of the main products of this division are Caspofungin, Micafungin, Daptomycin, Biapenem, Ferric Carboxy Maltose, Polymixin and Enoxaparin. Dermatology division caters to the dermatology and cosmetology range of products. The teams is about 45 plus and has business dealings with all leading dermatologists, skin specialists, hair specialists and cosmetologists all across India. Some of the main products of this division are Luliconazole cream, Acitretin capsules, Glutathione Injections and tablets, Fultress range of Hair care products and Itraconazole tablets.
Institute division looks after the institution business which comprises of bidding for tenders with various government authorities, hospitals and agencies. This division is on the panel of the likes of AIIMS, Safdurganj hospital, Defense establishments, CGHS, ESIC, various state medical corporations like RMSCL, GMSCL, JIPMER and many government run hospitals like Tata Memorial. Oncology division promotes the oncology range of products. The team size is about 40 people spread across India. Most of the leading oncologists prescribe the BDR range of products which cover almost all cancers like Breast, Ovarian, Prostrate, Lung, Renal and many more. The association is with well-known centres like Tata Memorial, Hope Onco care, MOC, RGCI, GCRI, RCC from the government setup and also private hospital tie ups with Apollo Group, Max group, Medanta group to name just a few. Some of the major main products of this division are Enzalutamide, Rucaparib, TGO, Abiraterone, Nano Bound paclitaxel, Carboplatin and Fulvestrant.
With the BDR group’s innovative thrust and strong R&D backing coupled with backward integration, these divisions are set to flourish and make a mark in the domestic segment. The outlook for the Ethical Marketing division is very bright and in the next year or two, BDR should be a very prominent player in this segment as well.
